Do you accept other types of pets?

YES! We have an evaluation process for every pet. This ensures that we are a good fit for your needs and the safety of our staff. We are always happy to speak to you over the phone to discuss any specifics. Remember, Dog Days Pet Care loves all animals, we strive to always be safe, secure, and loving in our approach to all animal care.

Do you offer boarding?

Boarding was how we got started, however as we move forward, we are phasing that out of our new business model. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you and your pet’s needs in their home environment.

Do you have restricted breeds?

We have an evaluation process for every pet. This ensures that we are a good fit for your needs and the safety of our staff. We are always happy to speak to you over the phone to discuss any specifics. Remember, Dog Days Pet Care loves all animals, we strive to always be safe, secure, and loving in our approach to all animal care.

Do you offer walking services?

Yes, Dog Days Pet Care offers Walking Services. Additionally, we offer in-home pet care, almost overnight, the great adventure, p-stop, pooper scooping services, pet taxi, and training services. As we grow, other services will be added. Be sure to sign up for our mailing list to stay on top of our new offerings.

How will I know when you’ll be arriving for the drop in visit?

You will request what time you would like the drop-in visit service to be scheduled. We will give you a 2-hour window of time when we will arrive. We will also text you when we arrive and when we are leaving.

I have 5 dogs. What would I be charged for a drop in visit?

The first 2 dogs are priced starting at $35.00 for 20 minutes per visit. Please review the terms of service for more information.

What is your service area? How far does Dog Days Pet Care travel for a drop in visit?

Dog Days Pet Care is growing our service area. As of first quarter of 2023, we are evaluating our 5-mile radius from Sayville, LI. Be sure to check back often and sign up for our mailing list for new offers and changes in our service area.

NOTE: more than 5 miles from our home base in Sayville will incur an additional $10.00 charge per visit.

Are there requirements for pets you care for?

This is a very popular question: Typically, as we are working to keep a safe, secure, and loving environment for you, your pet(s), and our staff, we ask the following of all pets:

• Rabies

• Parvo / Distemper

• Bordetella / Kennel Cough

• Flea / Tick preventative treatment

Is there a deposit fee or cancellation fee?

48 Hours Notice Required – 100% Credit applied to your account.*

Less than 48 Hours – 50% Credit on your account will be applied to your account.* 

•No Cash Refunds. Credit is applied to the very next service date. Credit expire after 12 months.

My dog isn't great around other dogs but loves people. How do you approach this situation?

Can my dogs be outside during the clean up?

No, we ask that you bring your pup inside. Dog Days Pet Care loves all animals, however, to maintain our policy of a safe, secure and loving environment for you, your pet(s) and our staff please keep them safely indoors or kenneled until we finish cleaning up the poop. 

Do you provide services during inclement weather?

In most cases, light rain or snow amounts do not keep our services from being rendered. Dog Days Pet Care has a policy of a safe, secure, and loving environment for you, your pet(s) and our staff. Should inclement weather be severe, we will call or text to reschedule the appointment.

Is there a contract that I am locked into? (Pooper Scooper)

No! Poop happens 🙂 We’re super flexible just let us know! Dog Days Pet Care has a policy of a safe, secure, and loving environment for you, your pet(s) and our staff.

Can I reschedule my yard clean up?

Yes! Please provide us with 48 hours’ notice and we can reschedule your appointment.       

Are there black-out dates?

Our services are offered for your pets, 7-days a week, 365 days a year, from breakfast to bedtime.
